Enter the Magic of the Tote Pump

Let us take a magical journey inside the tote pump and see where that takes us. It is a strange journey and one that most people find too disturbing to pursue. It is strange and disturbing because it effectively upends the total conception of reality and people generally do not like their conception of reality to be upended. It is hard enough to make one’s way in reality. No one wants to hear that the very effort to make one’s way is not the main point. But rather the main point is to see through the reality of reality.

SEEING THROUGH THE REALITY OF THE TOTE PUMP

When one takes on this magical journey of which I speak one must give up on his or her view of the world. Why else do monks retreat into monasteries? Why else do hermits retreat into the desert? It is because they are doing the hard work of shrugging off the mantel of the world and setting to work on seeing through it to its very essence. This cannot be done when the burdens of the world are distracting you on a daily basis. Or perhaps it cannot be easily done or accomplished.

Taking the magic journey requires a conviction that the truth is more important than living comfortably. Now it is possible to live comfortably and take the magic journey although it is highly unlikely. It is so unlikely that it is effectively impossible. For this reason in order to accomplish this most heavy of tasks it requires a certain sense of sacrifice. It requires a certain sense of dedication towards the goal of accomplishing that which could be accomplished when the magical journey has reached its logical end. And who can say where the journey will take us ultimately. But we take it anyway.
